Beam splitter is widely used in the image science, laser measurement industry etc. It is an optical device that splits a beam of light in two. In its most common form-cube, Allwin provides full solution of your needs, based on our precision quality control of the prisms and professional experiences in use of glue or optical contact methords.

Still, we can use only one piece of coating windows to control the light. Usually we use an alluminium layer with the thickness of the aluminium coating such that part, typically half, of light incident at a 45 degree angle is transmitted, and the remainder reflected. Beyond a metallic coating, we also apply a dielectric optical coating, in this way, we can help our customers to set up their laser systems etc. We also provide pellicle mirror for our photography customers.

Allwin optics also provides different sizes of the beam splitter, we can handle 0.2mm to 200mm.

Applications:

1 . Correcting Astigmatism

One of the main applications of cylindrical lenses is in ophthalmology, specifically, to correct astigmatic vision.  When a person presents astigmatic vision, it is usually the result of a corneal deformation. An astigmatic cornea will have different focal points at different axes. It is then possible to use a cylindrical lens to change the focal point of one of the axes to overlap the second one.

Laser Line Scanning

They are usually used in combination with acousto-optic deflectors, where the focal point of a variable lens (the acousto-optical elements) can change its position laterally without the use of movable parts.  The cylindrical lens corrects the image and helps focus the light spot onto the correct plane for laser scanning microscopy.
